Information on Construction of New Office Building

FUSO Corporation (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takaaki Uedoko; hereafter "FUSO") will build a new office building in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. The building will be located on the site of a former steel pipe factory in Goto-cho, Takamatsu, and is scheduled for completion in October of this year.

The new office building will be three stories tall and will include facilities such as a research lab, exhibition space, gymnasium, and cafeteria, and will also be used as the office for the Shikoku branch. The office environment, where employees spend most of their time, will be improved in both hard and soft aspects, making it a place where employees from all over the country can gather to communicate and create.

In addition, in the event of an emergency, a "tsunami evacuation building" where local residents can evacuate, and the gymnasium with a storage facility will be opened as a "designated evacuation shelter," and we are focusing on disaster prevention measures such as BCP measures and contributions to the community.

Furthermore, from an environmental perspective, the company will proactively introduce energy-saving and energy-creating equipment, such as reducing lighting load through natural lighting, using louvers to block sunlight, installing LED lighting throughout the building, and installing solar power generation, wind power generation, visualization monitors, and EV charging equipment.

This year marks a milestone year for FUSO, celebrating its 70th anniversary since its founding, and by constructing a new landmark building in Gotocho, Takamatsu City, where its steel pipe factory, water treatment research institute, and subsidiaries are located, the company aims to strengthen the group's governance, develop the foundation for expanding its business areas, and achieve further growth.
