FUSO Name and Logo

The FUSO Name

In the town of Marugame in Kagawa Prefecture, on the Japanese island of Shikoku, our founders chose the name "FUSO" to reflect a passionate determination to help uplift the lives of the people they serve. This determination drove their work to bring water to the people and to build a better tomorrow in their communities. Today, our quest for water remains unchanged, and is the driving force that leads us to shatter established notions and to overcome the impossible. In this quest, we proudly march forward to tackle challenges and pioneer the future of our communities alongside these neighbors under the FUSO banner.

Thoughts Behind The Logo

This brightly-shimmering water is what enriches our towns and cities and nurtures the culture made there. The fluidity of the logo's representation reflects the constantly-changing environment surrounding water and the new ideas that are needed to address them. The F and S of the FUSO name are combined in a water-themed motif to symbolize the shimmering beauty of water, reflecting the ideals for water that we have been striving toward since our founding. Use of what we call "FUSO blue," the calming color of pure water, also expresses our pure passion with which we have work to evolve the domain of water.
