O&M (Operations & Maintenance)
One-Stop O&M with Reduced Skill Requirements for Water Supply and Sewage Facilities
Since its founding, FUSO has been involved in the construction of water supply and sewage facilities, as well as other social infrastructure, and we have deep insights of the structure and construction process of facilities. These insights allow us to provide O&M services. We pioneer solutions that go beyond the traditional methods we have honed over the years and make full use of the latest digital technologies. FUSO will continue to face the unique challenges of O&M that exist in each different community, an effort that will be further strengthened by the merger of FUSO MAINTEC in April 2024.

One-Stop Service Provision

We provide one-stop services for engineering, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of water infrastructure equipment and systems. This allows us to flexibly plan, propose, and implement solutions to issues specific to each community and contribute to building sustainable local communities. We provide high-quality services thanks to the synergistic effects generated from our great familiarity in all processes.

Cloud monitoring system (FIC'S)
FIC's is a maintenance and management system for central management of monitoring information for various facilities such as water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations. Storing data in the cloud not only enables access via the Internet, but also helps with business continuity planning (BCP) in the event of a disaster.

Water pipeline leakage information management system
AIMS, our water pipeline leakage information management system, is capable of continuous unattended monitoring for the sound of water leaks, enabled by fixing transmitters with built-in high-sensitivity vibration sensors to partition valves and other equipment. Utilizing AIMS helps to reduce costs and increase efficiency versus conventional leakage surveys by human surveyors.

Robot cleaning of water distribution reservoirs
By utilizing robots, water distribution reservoirs can be surveyed and cleaned without emptying the reservoir. Since the robot does not use oil, it can fully handle chlorine disinfection and works without contaminating the water.
We can also accommodate requests for surveys and cleanups using divers. This can be carried out in conjunction with robot use.

Camera surveys inside water supply pipes
An endoscope camera device is inserted into water pipelines through ball-type repair valves under underground fire hydrants and air valves to survey the state of corrosion and foreign matter accumulation inside the pipelines. These cameras can work without shutting off the water supply, are capable of photographing the inside of pipelines, and can be used for all pipe types except asbestos pipes with diameters from 75mm to 800mm.

Drone inspection of facilities
Drones can be used to inspect facilities, dam intakes, and manage construction progress. They can also be used to check the status of off-limits areas in the event of a disaster.

Drone inspection of water pipeline bridges
We are developing an innovative deterioration diagnosis service water pipeline bridges, which are difficult to inspect due to their structure and characteristics. A high-performance drone equipped with a variety of functions can take clear images, and AI analyzes the captured data to diagnose and identify elements such as dirt and rust.
Operation and Maintenance Management
Our operations and maintenance unit is responsible for operation management and maintenance inspections in water, air conditioning, and electrical systems, as well as repair work and upgrade proposals based on these inspections. We promote O&M of water supply and sewage facilities we have constructed ourselves, allowing the FUSO GROUP to establish a comprehensive system from engineering, procurement, and construction to maintenance and management, flexibly responding to customer needs with methods from 24-hour resident-based management to daytime patrol-based management.

O&M at the Kagawa Water Supply Authority
In December 2022, a contract was signed with a joint venture (as one of four constituent companies) as a private partner for operation and maintenance of water purification facilities and other services in Kagawa Prefecture. Operation and maintenance services are currently underway in the Chuusan and Seisan areas, which cover approximately half of Kagawa Prefecture. In this project, under the theme of "connecting," we are striving to standardize the quality of work and strengthen information sharing.

Evolving Water through Digital Transformation Rooted in Communities
By utilizing BIM/CIM-related technologies*, each process, such as site surveys, creation of 2D drawings, and construction planning, can proceed simultaneously. In addition, this contributes significantly to the realization of front-loading and lower skill requirements. FUSO drives DX of water.
