Since FUSO's founding, our business activities have been firmly rooted in the concept of sustainability, since water is essential for everyday life. Initiatives for Environmental Preservation

The forests that nurture our water sources are key to ensuring abundant water resources. FUSO is engaged in forest maintenance activities such as tree planting, thinning and pruning of water source forests, and other activities to create a rich forest as part of "Fuso Forest" programs in Tokyo and Kagawa Prefecture, in which not only employees but also their families participate.

We are working to ensure strong, vibrant forests in cooperation with the Bureau of Waterworks of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government at the Fuso Forest, a portion of water conservation forests in Tokyo so named under a naming rights agreement with the bureau for corporate forestry.

As a participant in Kagawa Prefecture's Forest Matching Project, we will contribute to maintaining forest functionality, an asset shared by all residents of the prefecture, and to passing on bright and abundant water source forests to future generations through forward-thinking forest maintenance activities.

Initiatives for Local Communities

In addition to ongoing efforts to help educate the next generation, mitigate local disasters, and sponsor events, we have also concluded disaster relief agreements with several entities to provide support and cooperative activities for prompt recovery in the event of a disaster.

Rental of the FUSO Technocenter Gymnasium

The Technocenter in Takamatsu City was opened in 2016 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of our founding, is used for technical development and training. Its gymnasium is also open to the public for sports clubs, disaster drills, and other uses.

Disaster Recovery Assistance

We have concluded several disaster support agreements to help with recovery in the event of an earthquake. In addition, we have established an Earthquake Recovery Project Team to contribute to recovery projects for water and sewage facilities.

FUSO Technocenter

Armed with drinking water stockpiles, emergency power generators, and more, the FUSO Technocenter building is designed to function as a temporary shelter and tsunami evacuation building, welcoming local residents in the event of a major disaster. The facility, opened in 2016 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of our founding, also contributes to the development and revitalization of local businesses by utilizing locally-produced stones and cedar boards.
